Offerings for Clinicians and Other Professionals
In this time in our world, more than ever, practicing ethically must be central to our process. Addressing power and responsibility more actively, helping our clients consider the larger context of their struggles, understanding the limitations of our singular perspectives and thinking more deeply about how to embrace and relate across human differences are essential.
Relationship, cultural humility and a commitment to lifelong learning are at the core of my work. These offerings are a step toward a village I dream up, toward a collaborative space where Portland healing, organizing, teaching professionals and leaders who wish to invest in the well-being of our place come together to learn and grow.
If you are:
Interested in learning across discipline differences, theory differences, culture differences, differences in levels of experience respectfully…
Beginning to see more often how the separation and individualism built into our culture, is the implicit background for so much of what our clients struggle with, for our “problems…”
Invested in repair, not just with the individual in front of you in mind but with our broader community, with our world in mind…
Willing to muck around in places where what you know becomes irrelevant…
This might be a space for you. I bring care and humility, unending curiosity, an investment in all that lives beyond words, hard earned recognition that my “mistakes,” have provided some of my best learning and an accompanying shame-free mentorship style to these offerings. I ground my work in embodiment, anti-oppression and attachment oriented frameworks and a recognition that learning together is how we grow. My relational years within the lineages of Interpersonal Neurobiology, Modern Psychoanalytic Group Training, The Hakomi Method and most recently Somatic Abolitionism are the ethical ground of my work. Whether you are integrating a new therapy methodology or growing beyond allegiances to your training, making time to get to know how you fit in the broader context of your world will contribute to your effectiveness. I look forward to being moved by what you bring. You are your primary therapeutic tool. Be part of a space that supports you accessing your unique giftedness as a therapist.
Continuing Education (CEs)
As clinicians, we swim daily in our clients’ emotional lives. To be good helpers, sorting our feeling responses from what we are picking up in our clients is essential. Enhancing our capacity to respond versus react requires life long discernment. Group work supports this relational learning.
You are uniquely suited to this work. Learn to ground into your internal guidance system as your primary therapeetic tool. Let it guide you towards the healing work you are meant for. All while clocking required CE hours.
Relational (Un)Training Circles
A Relational (Un)Training Circle is an exploratory learning experience designed to support clinicians, healers, leaders and professionals who help others in their work. I’ll be offering these in a variety of topics with the core aim of finding ground in ethical and culturally competent practice. CE’s available. See current offerings below:
For Group Leaders and Aspiring Group Leaders: A Monthly Gathering
Group work is medicine. Whether you facilitate process groups, psycho-educational groups, support groups or training groups, you’ll find grounding perspectives and a space to be human together in the complexity of group work. I’ll offer a brief didactic “lesson,” each session. Your burning consultation questions will guide our learning. Now and again, guests experts with proficiencies in a broad range of skill areas will join us to support your learning.

Who’s all this for?
Humans who work with Humans including but not limited to: Therapists, Psychologists, Social workers, Coaches, Educators, Executives, Team Leaders of any kind, Health Professionals, Artists, Entrepreneurs, Managers, Organizational Leaders, etc. Particularly those of you who wish to ground your work in the ethically grounded, culturally humble practices of Interpersonal neurobiology.
What you’ll explore?
Relational Frameworks and Tools, Neuroscientific “stories,” to support the humans you work with to embody their learning, the limits of our Western Eurocentric perspectives, the benefits of holding learner (versus knower) mindset, lots of other emergent tid bits….
Where?
My Office at the Ford Building: 2505 SE 11th Ave. Ste. 222, Portland, Oregon 97202 or Online in my Zoom Room.
Why might you attend?
You learn experientially. You’ve learned plenty of skills and are interested in being supported toward your unique therapy methodology right now. You’re questioning our field and trying to find a path that aligns with your values. You are looking for self of the therapist (or insert your career title here) work amongst like-minded (ehem) weirdos like you. You’re tired of powerpoints, zoom rooms with 10s to 100s of participants. You want a guide who can support you directly. You’re interested in healing as an emergent learning journey in which you are a human in the room. You understand you are your primary tool. You’re up for silliness, badassery, alternative perspectives and believe connectedness to something beyond the self supports our work. You’d like to explore in a space that holds missteps, mismatch, mistakes as not only welcome but essential to relational well-being.
On the calendar for 2026….
Experiential Group and Relational Therapy Training Group
Looking for a space to build exploratory community with other therapists? Interested in trying out Interpersonal Process in service to grounding into your unique professional identity? Desiring a foundation for your group and/or relational work with your people?
I’d love to hear from you. Starting in Winter of 2026, I’ll be guiding an intimate group of therapists through a year of skill-building, consultation and self-of the therapist professional identity discovery.
As a mentor of mine, Elliot Zeisel always said, a training group is “an everything bagel.” It doesn’t serve one therapeutic learning purpose or another. It mixes a bunch together into something nutritious and delicious. Here are a few of the imaged flavors I have for the space we’ll build together:
Interpersonal process exploration, one of the best ways I know to clarify our countertransference material in service to effective therapeutic work.
Workshop-like periods of psychoeducational learning and meta process to understand how we work.
In my practice, areas you can expect to explore include, interventions grounded in relational neuroscience, somatically and attachment informed engagement, our work contextualized within our racialized culture, Modern Analytic frameworks and probably more.
Consultation on the questions specific to your unique work with clients, professional identity and practice development.
This group will meet Wednesday at two possible times 2-3:15pm or 6-7:15pm. It requires a weekly commitment for one year with the option to continue for 2027. Holidays, time out of the office, your time away etc Of course will be taken into account. Interested?
