If you are interested in what’s happening in the therapy room between you and your clients, I may be a good fit for group supervision or training. I work with clinicians to identify your unique therapeutic style, utilize your instincts in your work, and bring relational dynamics into the foreground of the process.
As a psychotherapist, I’ve come to understand the essentiality of my professional identity exploration to the successful implementation of my work with my clients. Pearl Waldorf Counseling Services offers a range of experiential Professional Development opportunities for Counseling Professionals. Each provides time and support to clinicians to hone their most powerful tool.
In addition to offering the wisdom I’ve gleaned from training in various methodologies, a biological understanding of the change process, ethics and practice nuts and bolts, I’ll facilitate a process that centers what I’ve come to believe is most important to the success of our work with clients: the mindful awareness and thoughtful use of our own shifting self-states as we sit with them in our offices.
Your attachment material and an understanding of implicit communication that happens between you and every client are key to therapeutic success. Cultural context, including understanding your own privilege and/or experiences navigating oppression cannot be overlooked. Helping your clients embody their deeply personal narratives, while also maintaining a connection to real world experiences, is a radical act.
In light of this, I offer educational and identity supports:
Intro to Group Therapy
Concepts in Interpersonal Neurobiology
Workshops Ethics and other content based workshops.
Process Groups for Professionals
Group Consultation for Counseling Professionals
Continuing Education Credits available.
Group Supervision for Interns and New Professionals
Beginning in January 2020, I’ll be offering an experiential supervision group, supporting members to explore their client work with their peers. I’ll facilitate processing around therapist identity and offer psycho-education contextualizing the relational material coming up in the therapy room.
Intro to Group Therapy for Clinicians
Designed by trained group therapists, this introduction will support both your cognitive and emotional learning in an experiential setting.
